Your Dragon Heart Experience Tour initiates as we take a flight to Paro on Bhutan’s carrier Druk Air. Visit around ancient Drugyel Dzong and spectacle eye catching views of whole Paro valley from famous Ta Dzong. Then we head towards capital city of Thimpu on a short drive where cultures and traditions of Bhutanese people can be experienced in the best way. Further, Gangtey monastery at Gangtey valley would be another attraction of Dragon Heart Experience Tour in Bhutan. This Gangtey gumba located at hill top of the valley is the only Nyingmapa Monastery on the western side of the Black mountains. On the other side of the monastery we get to visit the village where we find many families of Gomchens Monks. Where we can get to explore their culture and lifestyle. Then we visit Wangduephodrang, traditional Bhutanese village and see the art of healing illness in their traditional way at Indigenous Hospital. After getting back into Paro, we don’t miss Taktsang Monastery or the tiger’s nest which is also known as the symbol of Bhutan. Also during our Dragon Heart Experience Tour we get wonderful opportunity to learn about Bhutanese arts and architectures by visiting Art Schools, Handicraft centers, Royal Goldsmith and National Library.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive Paro by Druk Air A319, the only national carrier. On arrival and after visa formalities, meet, assist and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Kichu Resort.

Day 02

Paro Sightseeing – visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel dzong. Proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch tower or locally known as Ta-Dzong. Stroll around the market and return to Kichu Resort. Overnight at Kichu Resort.

Day 03

AM sightseeing – visit the Indigenous hospital where traditional old art of healing is still practiced, Art & Craft school, National library, Royal goldsmith workshop and Handicraft centers.
PM visit the Memorial chorten and new Drupthob nunnery temple and free time in the market.  Overnight at Hotel River view or similar.

Day 04

Drive 3 hours to Wangduephodrang via Punakha crossing the Dochula pass 3100 meters. Visit the Punakha Dzong. Proceed 45 minutes to Wangduephodrang and view the Dzong from outside and stroll around the market area. Overnight at Wangdi Kichu Resort.

Day 05

Day excursion to the Gangtey Gompa valley at an altitude of 2800 meters. Explore the fascinating glacier valley and return to the Resort.  Overnight at Wangdi Kichu Resort.

Day 06

Drive almost 6 / 7 hours crossing 3 passes over 3000 meters to Bumthang. Overnight at Lhendupcholing Guest House.

Day 07

Sightseeing – Visit the Jakar Dzong, 7th century Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey monastery, Tamshing and Kunchosum monastery. This sightseeing is a round trip so it is more interesting done on foot.

Day 08

Drive back to Wangduephodrang. Overnight at Wangdi Kichu Resort.

Day 09

Drive 3/4 hours to Paro via Lobesa and a short walk through farm houses and fields to Chimme Lhakhang.Lunch at Thimphu and drive to Paro visiting the visiting the oldest building in Bhutan, the Simtokha Dzong.
Overnight Kichu Resort.

Day 10 

Day hike to Taktsang monastery. Stroll back to Resort. Evening at leisure.  Overnight Kichu Resort.

Day 11

 Transfer to airport for final departure.
