We embark for West to East Bhutan, as you arrive at Paro airport and go for sightseeing around attractions of Paro and Thimpu. During the tour we stop at various spots to get spectacular views of Himalayas and nature. Further, we will be hiking towards symbol of Bhutan, Takstang Monastery, explore cultural Bumthang and get insights into centuries old cultures. During our 12 days of tour, we cover the western and central valleys of Bhutan where there are plenty of lush green forests and bird watching and wilderness exploration opportunities. Bhutanese people are known for their friendliness and warm hospitality, you would just love while interacting with them along with seeing magnificent views. At the final days of tour, we visit Trashiyangste, drive to Samdrupjongkhar and exit into beautiful northern tea land of India, Assam.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive Paro by Druk Air A319, the only national carrier. On arrival and after visa formalities, meet, assist and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Kichu Resort.

Day 02

Paro Sightseeing – visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel dzong. Proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch tower or locally known as Ta-Dzong. Stroll around the market and return to Kichu Resort. Overnight at Kichu Resort.

Day 03

Day hike to Taktsang monastery.  Evening drive 2 hours to Thimphu. Overnight at Hotel Druk or River View.

Day 04

AM sightseeing – visit the Indigenous hospital where traditional old art of healing is still practiced, Art & Craft school, National library, Royal goldsmith workshop and Handicraft centers.  PM visit the Memorial chorten, 15 century Changangkha monastery, Motithang mini zoo to see the rare “Takin” national animal of Bhutan and the new Drupthob nunnery temple and free time in the market.
Overnight at Hotel Druk or River View.

Day 05

Drive 3 hours to Wangduephodrang via Punakha crossing the Dochula pass 3100 meters. Visit the Punakha Dzong which served as an old capital of Bhutan.  Proceed 45 minutes to Wangduephodrang and view the Dzong from outsideand stroll around the market area. Overnight at Wangdi Kichu Resort.

Day 06

Drive almost 6 / 7 hours crossing 3 passes over 3000 meters to Bumthang. Overnight at Lhendupcholing Lodge.

Day 07

Sightseeing – Visit the Jakar Dzong, 7th century Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey monastery, Tamshing and Kunchosum monastery. This sightseeing is a round trip so it is more interesting done on foot. Overnight Lhendupcholing Lodge.

Day 08

Drive almost 8/9 hours to Mongar winding through more rugged terrain. On the way visit the Mebartso meaning burning lake. If there is time a short visit to Ura village. Overnight at Hotel on room availability or camp.

Day 09

Drive to Trashigang. Overnight Hotel or camp.

Day 10

Sightseeing – Drive 2 hours to Tashi Yangtsi. On the way visit Gom Kora monastery located near a river.Next stop is at Duksum a small village boasting of the oldest iron suspension bridge built during the 15 century by Drupthob Chazampa builder of iron bridges. Further on lies the beautiful Chorten Kora a huge white washed stupa surrounded by a small community who make the famous wooden bowels (Dapa). Drive back to Trashigang.
Overnight Hotel or camp.

Day 11 

Drive 6/7 hours to Samdrupjongkhar border town with India. . On the way visit Kanglung the only university in Bhutan. Further on visit the blind school and the famous weaving center. Overnight Hotel.

Day 12 

Our services end after breakfast. Indian agent have to pick the clients up & drive them for further Journey.
